With the development of the technology and the Internet, the social networks have become more and more popular among people. This kind of social network has enhanced the communications and connections between one another. It is very convenient for most people to chat with friends or relatives online, which can also save the fees of talking by phones. As known to all, Facebook is very famous for its social network service online. It is also the website that I visit most to have a contact with my friends or sometimes with strangers to make friends. Twitter is the second website that I use frequently. Twitter is very easy to publish some short messages to express oneself or to be noticed by friends. LinkedIn is also my favorite social network online. There are also some other small websites for me to keep in contact with other people.
The Facebook is often used to communicate with my peer friends to talk about or comment on the things that are happening around them or in the world. It is very free to express the views on the Facebook (Charles, 1969). The interest groups are also very attractive, which enables people with the same interest to share the viewpoints or discuss on something. The peer friends have been the strong ties in Facebook. Parents or relatives are not always communicating through Facebook. This is just the employing conditions of me on the Facebook. As a student, I also use the LinkedIn to make friends with more excellent people to learn some experiences from them in studies, working and other aspects that are valuable in the near future when I graduate.
The social network has many benefits to the progress of the society as a whole. The connection among different kind of people becomes tighter, which can make the world to employ the most novel ideas to realize the developing goals. It is encouraging to build positive relations with others through Internet (Thristos, 1995). The flexible methods to communicate with people on the Internet have offered much convenience to people. It is necessary to maintain and develop the harmonious social network at present and in the near futures. With the development of the globalization, the need to communicate people all around the world has become more and more indispensible. The globalizing trend will promote people to keep connections on the social networks. As a student, it is also essential to build more powerful social networks to create more chances for searching for a good job or to intake many good ideas to improve oneself.
