This is an individual assessment task in two parts.

Part A: Write a 1500 word feature article on the topic developed in assignment 1. It must feature interviews with at least 4 people and include within the text 3-5 hyperlinks to relevant sites. (40%)

Part B: Write a 500 word review of one of the feature articles on the reading list forALJ216 (10%).

The review should discuss what you have learned about feature writing from the article.What kinds of research have been carried out and how has the research been used to tell a great story?

在阅读这篇文章的过程中，我了解到最困难的是在采访中问问题的时间、内容和方式（Sedorkin，2011年）。显然，这个问题可能是面试中的核心和常见问题。另外，在面试的过程中，基础是倾听，而不是争论，只是去做。某些工作是总结和记录受访者在面试中所说的话。除此之外，在整个面试过程中，为忙碌的人组织一次面试的时机也很重要，面试过程中，忙碌的人可以是专业的，面试的内容和背景是什么。

In the process of reading this article, I have learnt that the most difficulty is when, what and how to ask the questions in the interview(Sedorkin, 2011). Apparently, this issue could be the core and common problem in the interview. In addition, in the process of the interview, the foundation is listening which is related to do not argue and just do it. Certain job is to summarize and record what the interviewees say in the interview. Besides that, the timing is also important to organize an interview for the busy persons throughout the interview, which can be professional during the interview, what can be caught in the interview: the contents and background.

录音设备对采访也是至关重要的。在某些情况下，被采访者在采访过程中会感到紧张，因此录音设备可以提高被采访者的表现。在面试过程中，眼神接触是面试官和面试官关注的因素。要记住，关键点应记录在设备上并写在纸上。关键点的组织对面试非常重要。

The recording devices are also vital for the interviews. In some conditions, interviewees are nervous in the process of the interview, so that recording equipment could be enhanced the performance of the interviewees. In the procedures of the interviews, eye contacts are the factors for the attentions of the interviewers and interviews. To remember that, the key points should record in the equipment and write down on the paper. The organization of the key points is quite vital for the interview. 

Above all, the interview can be a tool for the researching purpose for the factor of reporting. These steps can be used for the recording the interview. In the recording of the interview, I could prepare before the interview such as recorders and papers, calling numbers, and other necessary information. In addition, I am preparing the questions well before the interview such as interviewees’ background and culture difference. In the process of the interview, I could lead up the questions, but the answer should be the real reflection of the interviewees. In the listing, the key points should be writing down and organize an interview. If the interviewees are nervous during the interviews, do not argue and just do it. In the lasting, the timing planning is also valuable in the interview.  

In the application of the interview of the matter of the Guo Mei Mei, some interviewing lists are prepared and making the appointment with them. Because they are busy at the time, each person is allocated to 10 minutes in the interviews. They are expressing the views on the matter of the Guo Mei Mei, which was sensitive to them. In the recording of their words, they are angry with this matter. 

This article has successfully guided the process of the interview of the workers for the Red Cross.

Yes. 

5. Why you donate money to Red Cross?

Firstly, I think to donate to public charity is one of the best method to repay the society. Secondly, Red Cross is the biggest public organization in China. Considering the safety and fair of my donation, I prefer the bigger organizations with better management. I believe with the help of big and official organizations such as the Red Cross, my donation will reach to the people who most need it more efficiently. Thirdly, I am working for the Red Cross China, so it is more convenient to donate to Red Cross.Fourthly, all workers of Red Cross donate regularly every year. It is seen as an attitude to the society and I agree with this. 

6. Have you ever heard the “GuoMeiMei” report?

Yes, absolutely. 

7. What do you think of the GuoMeiMei Matter?

Firstly of all, it has nothing to do with the Red Cross. It is competepersonal media hype. There is no direct evidence showing she is related to the Red Cross or the general manager of any Red Cross branch. Personally, Idon not believe she is somehow related to the Red Cross neither.We all hold resentment against this event. I think people who ask this event if it relates to the Red Cross never placed a close look at the Red Cross. 

8. Is there any influence over the GuoMeiMei Matter to the donation? Why?

There is indeed influence of the GuoMeimei Matter to the donation. Actually, statistics show that the donation before and after the matter drops dramatically. 

9. Do you still believe the Red Cross?

Yes, of course. Therefore, I will continue to work for the Red Cross. 

10. How does the Red Cross change the image over the time?

Firstly, I think Red Cross show tell the truth to the public that she has nothing to do with the Red Cross. Secondly, Red Cross should pay more effort and attention on accounting publicity to win the trust of public back. Thirdly, Red Cross should report to the law enforcement agencies.

4. Why you donate money to Red Cross?

In the some activities, the organization is required to donate money to help the weak people in the donation activities, so that these activities are necessary for the weak group persons. 

5. Have you ever heard the “Guo Mei Mei” report?

Certainly, this matter is not related to the Red Cross. Apparently, the report has made the matter worse than image, so that this matter has taken the significant influence on the organization. In addition, I have believed that the report should real and positive. 

6. What do you think of the GuoMeiMei Matter?

Though it is not direct related to the Red Cross, the potential link to the Red Cross could also be the consequences for the organization. In the consequence, each person of the Red Cross could be effected by the outside issue and internal factors. 

7. Is there any influence over the GuoMeiMei Matter to the donation, why?

In fact, this could be an issue to donation. In China, the most person would like to see the issue around the report and follow them. Some do, the others do not. In general, it could be a negative issue. 

8. Do you still believe the Red Cross?

Yes, in the organization, it could have some bad persons which not standing for all worse. Red cross is still a positiveorganization in China to donation to help weak group and serve students in the western.

9. How does the Red Cross change the image over the time?

This image could be worse during the time. However, the Red Cross is trying to positive image for the most need persons. In addition, the Red Cross could be better in the future.

10.  Any other suggestions?

Reporting leads the most persons’ view on the matter; individuals should have deep research on the matter. I believe that Red Cross could serve better in the future and now.

Yes, it has gone. 

6. What do you think of the GuoMeiMei Matter?

It is not whole of the story of the Red Cross. The matter could separate two parts, positive and negative. The report has draw more attentions to the Red Cross.

7. Is there any influence over the GuoMeiMei Matter to the donation, why?

Negative to the Red Cross, because this influence could be disaster to the Red cross which was linked the trust influence on where money go in the donation. This matter could be immediately to life the management on the monitoring the money.

8. Do you still believe the Red Cross?

Of course, disclosure of the money collection and money usage are two ways to rebuild the trust. If trust is lost, the organization could be a serious problem.

9. How does the Red Cross change the image over the time?

It could be facing more reporting on the positive matters, so that it could be getting support again.

Give more time to Red Cross to show the confidence.

Sure. I work for the Wuxi branch of Red Cross of China.

4. Do you donate money to Red Cross?

Yes. 

5. Why you donate money to Red Cross?

One of my close friend received donation from Red Cross when she was young. She convinced me that by donating to public charities such as Red Cross could help us get more pleasant, since she started to donate to the Red Cross since college when she started part time job. There are many charities in China. There are two reasons that I selected Red Cross. Firstly, my friend is persuasive. Secondly, I think the Red Cross, as the biggest and official charity is more trust worthy. 

6. Have you ever heard the “GuoMeiMei” report?

Yes, of course. 

7. What do you think of the GuoMeiMei Matter?

I dislike her a lot, because I think no matter how much a person want to get famous, he or she should not using a way that jeopardize others. In my opinion, it is no doubt that Guo has no relationship with the Red Cross. All she wants is fame. But her method jeopardizes the fame of Red Cross and all people who believe this organization. 

8. Is there any influence over the GuoMeiMei Matter to the donation? Why?

Absolutely, there is influence over the GuoMeimei matter to the donation. Because, though a lot of people will still believe Red Cross has nothing to do with her and continue to trust our organization, it starts the distrust sense of quita few people, especially the ones who are still hesitate about the fair and efficient about public charity. 

9. Do you still believe the Red Cross?

Yes, with no doubt. The reason that I select Red Cross is its government participation and my career plan is to contribute to public charity such as Red Cross to help more people. 

10. How does the Red Cross change the image over the time?

At the beginning, Red Cross cleared that it has nothing to do with Guo. Then it should pay more attention on improving public image, for example, telling the public what they are doing, how they are using its donation, etc. 

11. Any suggestion? 

As the development of the Internet, I think Red Cross should try more propagation on Internet and makes donation more convenient on Internet.
