A case study on GOME’s supply chain management problem

The report has analyzed GOME’s problems on supply chain management, and they are concentrated on suppliers, customers as well as information system. With date and statistics, it can be seen that GOME suffers a negative impression from customers, a tense relation with suppliers, and an incomplete information and logistics system. All these factors severely hinders GOME’s further progress.
In order to solve these problems, recommendations within relevant theoretical frameworks are proposed. That is, GOME is suggested to conduct supply relationship management and customer demand management. Also it should invest on its information system. After GOME’s efforts, it’s believed that the company can build up win-win strategic partnership with suppliers, customer-need-oriented service system and advanced information system.
