Human Resources Management (HRM) is the field to which I find myself intensely attracted. To my knowledge, HRM in the coming decade will play an important role in the globalization of market environment, goods and services. After checking the online prospectus, I get to know that the well-respected undergraduate HRM programme offered at The University of Western Australia (UWA) can equip students with current and emerging theories that inform or comment upon the practices of HRM, and enable them to deal with the demands of complex and rapidly changing HR contexts. As far as I know, The University of Western Australia (UWA) is a leading Australian research university and has an international reputation for excellence, innovation and enterprise. A member of the Australian 'Group of Eight' research universities, it is also among Australia's leading research universities. Taking the above information into consideration, I have made up my mind to apply for the HRM programme in UWA.

Now international businesses operated in China are facing many great challenges in HRM. Although after China’s entry into WTO, it has attracted massive amount of international business and trade, a lot of problems related to HRM are arising in China’s market environment, such as problems in dealing with cross cultural communication, human resource planning, recruitment and selection, human performance and management, international and strategic human resources management. In order to make more effective HRM in China’s business environment, now international firms in China are recruiting a lot of personnel with professional HRM techniques and skills to join in their HRM departments. I believe that the educational experience in UWA will help me to see the world’s HRM theory and practices in ways I have not seen them before, and pave my way to fulfill my career goal---Human Resources Management.
