我学习音乐的灵感来自于我的音乐老师播放不同时期音乐的段落。我对音乐的多样性以及音乐传达的情感范围感到惊讶。从那以后，我开始学习弹钢琴。我对音乐的热情源于我倾听音乐，学习音乐如何运作的兴趣，这种兴趣在我的学校生活中得到了发展。我觉得还有很多东西需要学习，这也是我希望在大学继续学习音乐的原因。我的主要兴趣是钢琴演奏，我希望我能在未来成为一名优秀的钢琴家，我希望通过我熟练的钢琴技巧能够很好地诠释音乐作品和个人思想，让观众感受到音乐的魅力。
My inspiration to study music first came from when my music teacher played passages from different periods of music. I was amazed at how diverse music could be and the range of emotions conveyed from the music. Since then, I started learning playing the piano. My enthusiasm for music has been developed from my desire to listen to music, to learn how music works, and this interest has been developed throughout my school life. I feel there is still so much to learn and that is why I wish to further study music at university. My main interests is piano performance, I hope that I can become a good pianist in the future, and I hope that I can well interpret musical works and personal thoughts through my skilled piano technique, so that audience can feel the charm of music.

Now, I have studied piano performance for more than 10 years. During this period of time, I have learned piano solo, ensemble and accompaniment methods, technique of using keyboard and pedal, and accepted instruction on concert and development of personal style. Learning experience of this period of time lays a more solid foundation for me in terms of learning piano performance in the future.

I have been devoted myself in studying the piano and won a series of prizes. In October, 2013, I first took the exam organized by ABRSM and passed Grade 8. After a year and a half of hard working, in April, 2015, I obtained a diploma of the associated board of royal schools of music. After passing the above two exams, I have more confidence in my level of playing piano. From 2016, I have participated in a series of piano competitions. In February, 2016, in the 19th Hong Kong Asia Piano Open Competition, which is known as one of the most prestigious international professional piano competitions in East Asia, I won the Bronze award in Liszt Free Choice Class, the Bronze Award in Youth Class A, Certificate of Good Performance in Beethoven Sonata Class and Prize Winners Concert. In April, 2016, I was the 2nd runner-up and won the 1st prize in Chopin group and the 3rd prize in Sonata group in one of the most important events of the Youth Art in Asia named Hong Kong Asia-Pacific Youth Piano Competition. Harvesting results in those competitions brings me great confidence and inspiring me to win the 2nd prize in the 4th Youth Pianist Competition (Final) organized by Asian Association of International pianist in Zhuhai, China in August, 2016.

我是一名热心学生，期待着高等教育和大学生活带来的挑战。我很高兴在学校期间参与学习钢琴和各种课外活动，我期待在大学继续这些活动，在那里我可以追求自己的音乐抱负，并在更广泛的学术生活中发挥积极作用。I spent a lot of time on learning and practicing piano, but it did not negatively affect my academic record and developing other interests, as well as participating in community activities. When I studied music, at the same time, I also began to learn fine arts. Through years of study, my level of fine arts has been improved a lot and I won the Golden Award in National Excellent Fine Arts Contests for Primary and Secondary Students in June, 2007. Having fine arts lessons has played a positive role in improving my artistic culture, esthetic sentiment, which is very important for my future music learning. I have a good academic record, from 2011 to 2104, I won the awards for Excellent Student for three times. Also, I'm good at communicating with teachers and students, maintaining a good relationship with them allows me to win the awards as one of the Ten Best Student Leaders. In addition, I am also very interested in learning English, in March, 2015, I won the third Prize in the Limitation Competition of School 19th Foreign Language Festival. Learning English will help me to understand Western music history and to integrate into the future life of studying in the UK. In my spare time, I also actively participate in social activities, from 2008 to 2014, I have been involved in and organized activity named the "Offering a Piece of Green", which aimed to protect the environment.
I am a keen student who is looking forward to the challenges presented by higher education and university life. Having enjoyed participating in learning piano and a wide range of extra-curricular activities during my time at school, I look forward to continuing these activities at university, where I can pursue my musical ambitions as well as taking an active role in wider academic life.
