You are to produce a design document (in the form of an essay) that will detail the needs of a Facebook type system for a group of students who suffer from various degrees of visual impairment. The user group is to be a class of 20 students between the ages of 16-21, and the idea of the system is to provide both a learning and social environment. There will be ‘administrators’ present in the form of teachers who are allowed to moderate, provide teaching type material and also consider group set up. Your essay must not become a general design but must include suggestions as to appropriate s/w and h/w platforms to be used to support the development of the system. 1st Class / DISTINCTION
(70% +) Good consideration of the user group needs and appropriate consideration of the expected functionality with few if any failings. Good critical consideration given as to the selection of appropriate h/w and s/w.
