My name is Abigail Shi and grew up in Wenzhou which is my birthplace .My mother has a great effect over my development. She is an accountant in Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and by watching her integrity and hard working attracts me to study finance and accounting.
During my childhood years, my college led my interest into accounting and finance.http://www.ukassignment.org/ It has a great difference between study in college and in high school. It requires listening skills in the classes and also finding some materials to expand the range of my knowledge. Because I was not adapting very well in the first semester, so I did not do very well in the final exam. In the winter holiday, I realized that I had to adjust my study methods and attitude. As a result, I learned up with some best students and got a good grade in year one exam .Now after two years’ study, I have more clear idea about the courses and also more aspiration to be a successful accountant in the future.
In addition, I work part-time in my weekends and holidays to span my time efficiently. I used to work in KFC in Wenzhou as a waitress during the summer holidays. It was not as easy as I thought because you have to work more than 6 hours. Sometimes I always meet with some consumers who are extremely rude. But I did not give up and keep working through challenges. However, not all of my work experience is a paid employee. I was a volunteer in my college. I participated in many activities such as take care of children who are Autistic Spectrum Disorder and helps teachers to organize the entrance examination. It is not only enriches my life but also train my abilities to work with other people.
I have a variety of academic interests, although my major is accounting and finance. I usually read Chinese and international academic journals that helps me to keep the pace of the latest developments in accounting and other related fields. I also spend some of my time to study law and economics which are related to my specialism.
