Assignment Title : International Trade.
Your Task: “International trade creates a win-win situation for all involved”. Discuss this statement and state whether you agree or disagree with it. Use examples form the real world to support your argument.
1. Instructions:
• The assignment is to write an essay on the above task, hence it should be written in essay format – Refer to unit 133 in your text book for guidance.
• You should use good English and pay particularhttp://www.ukassignment.org/daixieAssignment/daixieyingguoassignment/ attention to your language skills since 25% of your assignment mark will be determined using the following criteria:
o Comprehensibility
o Coherence
o Grammatical range & accuracy
o Vocabulary
o Referencing and bibliography
• The assignment should be between 1,500 and 1,800 words (Excess writing will be disregarded).
• Assignment must be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12 with double line spacing. Pages should be stapled together (top left corner).
• The assignment will contribute 15% to your final grade of the ‘Introduction to the Study of Business’ module.
• The FINAL version of your essay MUST be handed in at INTO reception and a signature obtained for its submission by 15.00 on Thursday 11 June. 2009.
• Any student who fails to hand in the work by this time will lose marks (See Point 6 for details).
• You should hand in ONE hard copy of the assignment. You will also need to KEEP an electronic copy of your assignment for the teacher to collect.
2. What to include:
The assignment should include
• A plain cover page clearly marked with your name, your group, the title of the assignment and the date that you hand it in.
• The assignment structure must include:
- Introduction: description of issues/problems identified with the topic under discussion.
- Main body: your analysis and answers to the questions raised in your discussion. These should be put into a coherent argument (you should try to break up this section using subtitles where appropriate).
- Conclusion: a short summary and your final evaluation that flows from your analysis.

4. Sources of information:
For this assignment students are advised to use the following recommended sources for their information:
• Business Studies 4th. Edition by Hall et al (course text book).
• Further Business books are available from the INTO and main university Resource Room/Library (See list of Resources in your unit outline).
• The internet can be a useful source of information when trying to find recent examples to support your argument; however remember to use the internet sensibly and to limit your search to suitable websites (in English Only!). The following internet websites will be very useful resources:

• Assignment handed in before 15.00 hours on Thursday 11th June – No penalty.
• After 15.00 hours but before 17.00 hours on Thursday 11th June – 5% of mark awarded will be deducted.
