Abstract

 

"Jane Eyre" is critical realism masterpiece which was created by a British writer Charlotte Bronte in 19th century . It is the first known representative of feminist fiction. It described the fate of an ill-fated women Jane Eyre who does not succumb to her destiny. Readers are exposed to her fighting from the patriarchal society and the developing progress of her independent personality by reading through her destiny. Doing research into this masterpiece is of great importance. We intend to show readers the unique social style of Great Britain in 19th century through studying and rereading “Jane Eyre” and what is more significant we intend to promote gender equality in the modern society and feel the braveness rather than rudeness ,toughness and gentleness of her character. By doing this we see a woman with diamond-like quality. Her independent, tough quality, the pursuit of freedom and equality of the soul were like a flame enlightening our hearts when reading this book, we can not help showing respect to her from the bottom of our hearts. Her image, in several hundred years, not only does not lose its charm, but attracts more people to pursue . “Jane Eyre” is a book that a woman needs to read in her growing period.
