1. How long have you worked here? What are the duty you in charge of?
a. Working experience in this position: International Officer for India market for 10 years.
b. responsibility: fresh PG students recruitment, increasing Royal Holloway’s reputation
and brand awareness.
2. How do school attract overseas students to choose RHUL as their best choice?
a. methods to attract students: agent, scholarship.
b. students’ concern: academic and teaching quality, overall ranking, location,
programme(especially management), brand awareness (university of London), ranking.
3. Have you faced some challenges when you do the promotion?
a. culture problem: misunderstanding to ‘College’ and the system of University of London
b. misunderstanding of the conditions of MBA course
4. Do you think school provide effective media channels to overseas student? If not, how will you suggest making an improvement?
Different from Chinese market, there is no any language problem in Indian marketing.
However, with the improvement of communication technologies, more and more students
would use the website resources as another major pathway for knowing the school. Our
interviewee believed that Internet marketing and website virtual videos could be the
points which she would recommend Royal Holloway to improve.
