These three activities were compulsory for attendance and worked through teamwork. In my own idea, teamwork is defined as a group of people who work together to achieve a particular task. According to (Brice Tuckman, 1965), he suggested that teamwork go through a series of stages in their development include forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning.
Also, these three group activities were aimed to develop and experience our learning styles. According to (Honey and Mumford, 2006), they introduced their learning styles theory is linked to four stages include an “Activist”, a “Reflector”, a “Theorist” and a “Pragmatist”. In sample explanation, activists like to think on their feet, to have short sessions, plenty of variety, opportunity to initiate, to participate and have fun. Reflectors like to think before acting, thorough preparation, to research and evaluate, to make decisions in their own time and to listen and observe. Theorists like concepts and models, to see the overall picture, to feel intellectually stretched, structure and clear objectives and a logical presentation of ideas. Pragmatists like to see the relevance of their work, to gain practical advantage from learning, credible role models, proven techniques and activities to be real.
While an effectively of teamwork could be focus on whether learning style is balanced or not. Therefore, I have done a questionnaireand it shows that I have a preference for the “Activator” style. In this essay, I am going to discuss and explain whether I really have a preference for the activator style and whether my learning style is balanced or not in others and show which style is my most preferable with some evidences and also show how can I improve my learning styles in a better way.
 
We had presentation performed in week 10 of semester 1. During the presentation, all students were allocated to a group with 5-6 members and found a company in order to analyze their company’s situation and answer questions, which were given by our tutor. In my group, we chose “Barclays” because it is a bank and would have fully information about their operational methods; financial situation, profits and costs etc. and we believed it would be easier for us to investigate than other companies. During the whole exercise,I thought myself was trending to be a reflector. I was nervous and depresses when I knew that I was going to present in front of my class in English becauseI always think my English is not good enough and I did not want to speak in front of people. Therefore, I thought a lot before acting about how could I do my best and also I had made a fully preparation included research and practice before the presentation in order to prevent making mistakes. I tried to presentat home over and over to make sure I could speak with fluency. Moreover, I used much my own time to make decision about all ideas and analyze information and showed them to my group members when we met, it could be saved more time if I did it before our meeting and done preparations. Furthermore, I would listen and observe ideas or opinions from my members because group works should be work together with members rather than work in my own even if I like to work by myself more than work with others, all my other members also would listen ideas by group members and thereby it made us had a happy time and good relationships and also finish work in a quicker way with less arguments. Finally, I was thinking and reviewing a lot about previous experiences and using images to remember it and hope can do it better in the exercise. According to (Branthwaite, 2002, p. 177), “images have a more direct connection to feelings and unconscious ideas”, therefore I thought it would be helpful for my presentation. 
 
Secondly, we had negotiation performed in week 2 of semester 2. In this exercise, our tutor gave us a brief description of roles of a buyer and a seller. It was about that a buyer wants to buy a new car from a seller and I was pretending to be a buyer and needed to tell a seller whatI wanted and a seller will give a best suggestion for me. In the whole exercise, I thought I was trending to be anactivist because we had not got much time for preparation due to our tutor gave the brief description in the class just before the exercise started, thereby we just had a little time to go through the whole exercise and preparation before we started the negotiate and so had short sessions for us to preparation. Also, the results of negotiation depend on ideas of both sides of buyers and sellers; all ideas, rules, prices or decisions could change in order to meet their aims, so it could be plenty of variety. Moreover, I had learnt what exactly a negotiation is through doing and joining the exercise rather than reading from books, watching from videos or listening from people, so I thoughtI am an activist during negotiation.
 
Thirdly, we had debate performed in week 3 of semester 2. Before the exercise, all students were allocated in a group with four members and had six groups in total. Then, the tutor gave us a question and we had to discuss in both agree and against sides. My group had a topic about “Bitcoin” and needed to discuss if Bitcoin would be a gold currency in the future. We were allocated in a group with agree side about the idea and need to argue with another group with against the idea. In this exercise, I thought I was trending to be a theorist because we were aimed to argue and object the ideas about Bit coin would not be a gold currency in the future due to we were located in a group with agree the idea, so we had clear objectives and structures. Also, We need to give some ideas and evidences to persuade people believe Bit coin would be a gold currency in the future and so we had to do many research and found out evidences and logical ideas, so we could give a logical presentation of ideas during debate and I thought we had done it well.Moreover, we needed to give some ideas to against another group’s ideas and argue with them immediately when they had given their opinions, so we must had fully understand of all information about Bit coin and also needed to remember it and used it for argument and also needed make sure we used in a right way and so it was feel intellectually stretched. 
 
In concluded, I was trending to be a reflector in presentation, an activist in negotiation and a theorist in debate. However, I also used other learning styles and balance it in each exercise. For examples, we found all real information about Barclay for presentation and there were logical and thereby we gave a logical presentation and so could be a theorist. Moreover, I would listen and observe ideas from seller and discuss a best idea or solution in negotiation, so I was also a reflector etc. However, the only one of learning style that I was not done much is pragmatist and thereby lead to my learning style was not really balanced during these three exercises. Therefore, I need to think about what I want to improve and set up goals, learning strategies etc. to improve it in the future. According to (Garavalia and Gredler, 2002, p. 221), it point out “Students who set effective goals, utilize appropriate learning strategies, and evaluate the requirements of learning tasks adequately tend to achieve at higher levels than other students.”Therefore, I believe I can balance my learning style in a better way if I have done an effective planning in my future work. In the other way, (Boud, Keogh and Walker, 1985, p. 19) also point out, “reflection is part of the initial planning process and it is an important human activity in which people recapture their experience, think about it, mull it over and evaluate it. It is this working with experience that is important to learning.” Therefore, I will think about reflection more carefully in the next time to make sure I can do a better work and balance my learning styles.
