Communism is not Devil
When talking about communism, a lot of people may regard it as an enemy and tend to describe it with the word “devil” because it brings force, despotism and cruelty. Just look at the communism countries: The Soviet Union, China, North Korea, North Vietnam and Cuba. Those countries are dangerous and could bring a lot of troubles and destroy the peace of the whole world. These are actually the concept of communism in our mind. But in fact, do people really know exactly what communism is?
I know alot about communism, because I come from The People’s Republic of China. In my country, people also work hard to earn their living just like anybody else. People also love peace and are kind to others just as anybody else. People also have conscience, sympathy and wisdom just as anybody else. Are these people really become the enemy of wild world? No. I don’t think so. Some people have totally misunderstood the word “communism”. “Communism is a socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, stateless society based on common ownership and control of the means of production and property in general.” (Communism). The communism is just a social structure that is different from the capitalism. It’s difficulty to judge which is right and which is wrong. People use different ways which they think is appropriate to found the country. In China we preferred communism because after the World War II and the Civil War, the Chinese Communist Party gained the people’s trust. Also we thought from the experience of the Soviet Union, communism worked well in recovering the economy of the country. We chose communism because we thought it’s suitable. We chose it because it’s not the devil at all.#p#分页标题#e#
Question1.Why are the communist countries so poor if communism is not a wrong theory?
It’s a fact that all of the communist countries are developing countries, and the economic level has been quite low. But this does not prove that communism causes poverty. Actually we can realize that all the communist countries are found no more than one hundred years, and don’t have a economic foundation. So we can concluded that it’s the poor countries that selected communism, and not the communism caused the poverty. The new founded countries work hard to become rich, no matter with communism or capitalism. It really takes continuous effort and helps from other countries. Nevertheless, the Soviet Union was the only country that can be compared with the USA in several decades. And now China is playing a more and more important role in the international community. We believe and prove that communist countries can also do well.
Question 2.How can you explain the despotism problem in communist countries?
Rome was not built in a day, communist system is same thing. A new found social system usually needs a long term to improve itself. The United States used over two hundred years to build today’s system, and in its first century, the slavery was legal. In the first century of communist countries, there must be some problems as well. I admit that the despotism problem exists, but can be solved little by little with efforts. Actually communism itself calls for democracy. “Marxian sense refers to a classless, stateless and oppression-free society where decisions on what to produce and what policies to pursue are made democratically, allowing every member of society to participate in the decision-making process in both the political and economic spheres of life.” (Communism)
Question3. You say communism is not bad, but why is the Soviet Union separated and turned out to be many capitalist countries?
A person kills another with a knife, it’s not the fault of the knife. Communism is just like the knife. If used it appropriately, the country could benefit a lot from it. While using it inappropriately, the country could hurt itself as well. As we all know, the Communist Party of Soviet Union became corrup little by little, and at the end of the 80’s, the social problems were getting too serious to solve. The Soviet Union failed at last, but no one can deny that communism made the tsarist Russia turn to a powerful country that contribute a lot in the World War II, a powerful country that was the only one that could be compared with the USA for almost half a century. At last, the leaders’ mistake made the Soviet Union came to an end, not the communism.
Sometimes we get a stereotype just by first sight, sometimes by TVs or newspaper. Any how, that is not direct experience. I came from the communist country. I lived with it, but I think it’s neither a devil nor an angel. Nothing is perfect. Communism itself has some problem, and communist countries have a lot improve. In fact it’s a long way to go.#p#分页标题#e#
