Pop Art style Jewellery
Introduction:
To introduce how do I think about Pop Art. Though those Pop Art artists’ work, I divided my own Pop Art style into 3 parts: color, the Repeating or restructuring elements and the link with popular industry or fashion industry. I will introduce one artist per part.
Main body:
1. Color:
Yayoi Kusama
1 the strong color that she used
Her work usually use red, green and yellow dot, those present sun, earth and the moon. These dots is the way she communicate with the world
2 Compare the way to use color between she and me
2. The repeating or restructuring elements
Yayoi Kusama:
Mirror: How did she use the mirror as an element to make her own work
Margaux Lange’s Barbie Jewellery
The way she make her work
“Sometimes there’s a storyline to my pieces and I’ll have a particular idea I wish to explore (depending on the doll parts being used) and that will serve as the concept that shapes the piece. Other times it’s purely about design and arranging shapes and patterns within multiple elements. And sometimes it’s both, where I start out with a pattern or design in mind and by the end a concept has evolved. My design process varies a lot from piece to piece.
I usually tend to work in smaller time segments throughout the week but aim for at least 15-20 studio hours total per week. The business end of my jewelry ends up requiring a lot more time away from my studio than I ever imagined http://www.ukassignment.org/ it would: spending time on the computer with emails, my website, blog, etc.
I also currently have part-time outside employment as well to help make ends meet. Unfortunately at this point in my career it’s a necessity but I’m confident that it won’t always be. That’s what I’m working towards: successfully making a living off my art!
”
2 the market:
how did she sell her work~ how she make the price, where did she put her work
3 Compare with the way to use the body part as an element to make jewellery
between she and me
3. The link with popular or fashion industry:
Murakami Takashi
1 How did he run his company? How could he be an great artist and a businessman in the same time?
2 How did he combine his work with LV
3 Consider how should I make my work popular and make it more valuable.
Conculsion:
I learned a lot of things form these artist. (Examples), In the future I want my work not only sell in the gallery, I also want to have my own brand.
artist)。
What is your creative process like? How do you go about designing a piece?

Barbie jewellery: creepy or cute?
