Introduction
This report will outline our initial ideas for the client prior to actually meeting the client. Theseare the ideas we thought of from only reading the clients project brief and the research intothe organisation. As the brief only stated they wanted ‘a multimedia tool’, our initial ideas arequite varied, while still aiming to play to the groups strengths.
Initial Ideas
Virtual tour
One of our ideas was a virtual tour of one the studio workspaces. First showing the area asthe blank space it would start out for the potential artist, highlighting all the key aspects ofthe room. Then as the camera began to pan around the room it would begin to fill with theartist’s projects. The tour would briefly pause on points of interest and more informationwould appear to give greater detail. After the controlled tour was finished, the camera wouldreturn to a predetermined location, after which the artist would be able to manual move thecamera around the workspace, viewing different aspects of the location at their own leisure.All previous points of interest that were shown during the controlled tour would be interactive,allowing the information to be re-read.
Flash Banner
Another idea that our group came up with prior to the initial meeting with the client, was tocreate a flash banner for the organisation’s website that could be seen by all those who visitthe site. The idea was to have an advert within a specific area of the screen, but as soon asthe user hovered over the object it would expand into a much larger advert and would beclickable, taking the user to the webpage of the new studio spaces.
Documentary
We also came up with a particular scenario that could have been used for either a video oranimation. The idea was to have a series of artists who were ready to leave their currentworkspace in search of a new one. It would be done in the style of a wildlife documentaryabout baby animals leaving the safety of the parents and venturing out on their own, coupledwith a David Attenborough style voice over.
Poster
Not to neglect the physical side of advertising, the idea for eye catching posters andbillboards was also brought to the table. To try and catch people’s attention with somethingthat made them laugh as well as being memorable and worthy of being passed on by wordof mouth.

From initial meeting with the client, we aim to find out what exactly it is that they want us todo for them.
