The investigation in Sage Group

This report was assigned to evaluate the corporate governance arrangements within aFTSE 100 Company. I choose the company which is one of the world’s most influential IT company, Sage Group Plc. the reports’ intention is to assist an institutional investor in their decision to invest inSage Group.
Commenting upon the arrangements up to and In this report, we will show the following key points:
1.We will introduceSage Group’s present situation, including the enterprise scale, people.company’s total revenue in 2010, Sage Group's main market distribution ,Sage Group’s main customer.
2. The research draws attention specifically to the main principles of the UKCorporate Governance Code: leadership, effectiveness, accountability, remuneration,relations with shareholders and disclosure of corporate governance arrangements. Resultsof the research found that in general, the level of compliance with the UK Code issatisfactory, nonetheless, improvements can be made.

(2): Exercising Corporate Governance Tools.
(3): Chairman’s Remuneration.
(4): Letters of Appointment.

In a word, The Sage Group plc is a leading global provider of business management software to small and medium sized companies, creating greater freedom for them to succeed. Resultsof the research found that in general, the level of compliance with the UK Code issatisfactory, nonetheless,improvements can be made.
Although Sage Group has some shortcomings, Sage Group should be one of the promising investment company. I suggest that if you are an investor, and you want to invest in Sage Group, you should fully consider the local political, economic and other factors.
